Check In/Out Overview
IntelliTrack Check In-Out is the most flexible of the IntelliTrack applications. It’s really two systems in one. It contains both IntelliTrack Stockroom as well as IntelliTrack Check In-Out. The application allows users to track consumable inventory such as paper, pens and toner cartridges in addition to computers, audio-visual equipment and tools. For the consumable inventory portion new material is received and increases inventory levels and then issued to departments, which reduces inventory levels. In addition to the consumable inventory there is also “Check Out” inventory. This allows capital equipment to be “Checked Out” to an individual or department with the intention that it will be returned. “Check Out” items are tagged with a serialized ID that is unique across all “Check Out” items; much in the same way Assets are tagged in Fixed Assets.
Who uses IntelliTrack’s Check In/Out Solution?
IntelliTrack Check In-Out is very popular with police, fire and emergency departments. In addition it has also been used in a maintenance capacity to track tools (Check Out items) and replacements parts (Consumable items). Lastly it has also been used by loan and insurance agencies to track the location of document folders used during the load approval or insurance claim process. Existing Check In-Out customers include, Saint Mary’s County EMS, Charles County Sheriff Department and Pepsi.
